SPHERE BOWLS
DOUBLE WALLED GLASS BOWLS BLOWN FROM A FULL SPHERE
The chromatic Sphere objects are mouth blown at over 1000 °C and shaped by master glassmakers in Sweden. Blown from a full sphere of glass on the pipe, this collection of mouth blown pieces is inspired by the traditional technique of double walled glass making. By heating up half of the sphere and inhaling its air, the piece inflates to create a bowl. In combination with a cylindrical base, the bowl appears to be floating weightless above the ground.
Designed by Studio Milena Kling, to give space for the fruits of nature as well as flowers and everyday goods, each object in the Sphere family is composed of two interacting parts and a finely balanced selection of color tones. Milena´s composition of hues draws inspiration from the bold palette of nature.
